Nyah's Medical Check

We just took Nyah to the doctor. We knew that she was not as healthy as
Emma was when we got her. Nyah has an inner ear infection, eye infection,
eczema (not scabies like we thought, YEAH!). We are testing for possible
Melamine poisoning (China Milk problem), and Gheardia (SP) Not sure of spelling, it is a intestinal bug from drinking tainted water. The doctor also gave us 6 prescriptions, ordered blood work and kidney testing and referred her to Shriner's. WOW! What an ordeal. Nyah was a trooper through all of it and didn't even cry. She weighs about 23 pounds. All is fixable at this point.

The Family Getting to Know Each Other.

Jeremy, Jordan, Nyah and Emma Play time!

Melody and her girls!

Nyah loves noisy toys. GREAT!!!

Noodles!!!

Emma and Nyah playing with refrigerator
magnets. They often fight over these.

We have been spending a lot of time together, getting to know each other. Emma had a rough couple of days but is improving. She is easily jealous and emotional. We have been working hard to make things easier for her. Nyah is doing great! She is laughing, playing and being very easy going. Jeremy and Jordan are doing great as well. They are incredible helps and I am so thankful for them.

The Lund Family

First Picture: Angela, Michele and Brayden.

The first week that we were gone Melody's parents kept the kids. They took the kids to school, sports, doctors appointments... The second week Eric's sisters and mom came to stay with the kids. They took the kids to sports, school, kept Emma and spoiled the kids rotten. They also stayed for two days to get to know Nyah and see us. It was great to have them. We so appreciate them coming.

Brayden is Michele's little boy. He is 3 months old here and so cute!
Nyah and Emma are kind of the center of attention! You think???

This is the first time that Eric has gotten to meet his little nephew Brayden.

Getting to know her surroundings!

Jordan, Nyah, Jeremy, Emma and Elli (Kelli's little girl). They were sitting on Nyah's toddler bed, showing Nyah the house.

Nyah's Homecoming!

The kids and Eric's family made this sign to welcome Nyah. Emma is still not willing to let me hold her. She is Eric's girl only at this point.

1st time seeing our home. We are VERY glad to see this sight!

Nyah's 1st ride in a car seat. She did not think much of it. She was quiet and then promptly went to sleep.

Our 1st Family Picture!

Our 1st family picture.
Emma did not do well seeing me carry Nyah off the escalator. She had a
hurt look in her eye and didn't want anything to do with me for 2 days. It
was hard for me, but I knew it would not last. Nyah took everything in stride
and did well meeting new family. She even let Jordan hold her on at the airport,
for a few seconds. :)

Jordan and Nyah.

Oh My! What have I gotten myself into?
Almost like twins. This will be a crazy ride!

Met by Family at the Airport!

Eric's sisters and nephew, Brayden.

Eric's Mom and Jordan.

Melody's Dad.

We were met by a lot of people. I did not get to get a full group picture. I will have to add it when the family give them to me. Melody's parents were there as well as Eric's mom, sisters, friend Kelli and Elli and of course Jeremy Jordan and Emma.

Touch Down on US Soil!

A beautiful sight. We were never so glad to be landing in the US of A!
Nyah did well on the flight. We gave her some Dramamine about 1/2 way and she slept about 4 hours during the long flight from Japan.

It was nice to have a seat for her. This gave us some extra room. When we landed in Seattle she was given her stamp of entrance. That stamp made her a US citizen. It is official!

We Are Home!

We are home and doing well. We have had a lot of transition and busy activities in the last 2 1/2 days. Nyah did well on the flight, Mom and Dad didn't do as well.:)

I will post pictures and news tomorrow.
