Toys or Boxes!

The girls have a million toys, but an orange box is more fun than anything else. They were fighting over the boxes until they decided to share them.

Kids in Training!

Jeremy and Jordan have taken it upon themselves to train Emma and Nyah the appropriate way to do push-ups. It was so funny. I wasn't able to get great pictures, but here is what we have.

They also are training them how to be like a pig. You really don't want to know what else they are training them (Jeremy). It is very interesting raising little ones with older siblings. :)

Day Time Potty Trained!!!!

God is so good to us. Emma is now day time potty trained and is on her way towards nap and night time. She is doing so well. I decided to drop the diapers during the day, after reading my cousin Leeann's blog of how she potty trained her daughter. Her daughter is about a month younger than Emma. So we did it. No diapers! We had several accidents the first couple days, but after that she did great! When we get to no diapers we will go get icecream and a toy. Emma is so excited about this.

Nyah is doing well in this too. She goes when Emma does and tells us. The only problem is that she doesn't quite know how to tell us every time. You might remember that while we were in China Nyah would say "wuh-la" to tell us she needs to go. We of course did not understand this at the time, therefore we messed her potty training up. Now she says wuh-la while she is going. We are improving though.:)
Nyah and Emma like to have their blankets around their heads. They say that they want to be Mary. So here they are, the double Mary's.

Snowy Weather

Jordan and Riley Blowing on the window!

We have had quite the snowy weather here. During the Christmas break we had over 4 feet of snow fall in a short time. Due to this we had two snow days before Christmas Break. The only problem with this is that Melody's school district only allows for 2 snow days. Following Christmas we had more snow, rain and then more snow. School was open for 1 day and then we had another snow day due to structure concerns from all of the snow. The next day the weather rose to 47 degrees. This caused another snow day because we had too much snow melt and flooding was a concern. HMMMMMM... We will now loose flex days and be adding to the school year. OH! Did I mention that we are barely into January and the snow is just beginning? Welcome to North Idaho.:)

During the Christmas Break we were stuck at Jim and Lori's for a while. We needed to get the snow off of the roof. This is the roof that Riley is standing on and yes, that is the snow we had the kids shovel off.

Adam not happy about this little chore that we gave him. He is standing next to the deck that is usually 3 feet off the ground.

Christmas With the Putman Side of the Family

We spent Christmas at Melody's brother's house. It was a fun filled weekend with lots of snow
and family. The snow left us snowed in for a couple of days.

Nyah and Emma loved playing on the steps.

Emma put on everything that she got for Christmas. She walked around with two purses, all her toys in them and the bear around her. She walked around all day like this.

Emma and Nyah had different attitudes about opening presents. Emma opened each one and said, "Oh, Thank you. I love it!" Nyah didn't care much about what was in the package. She just wanted to open them ALL! She would dive over me to get to another one. It was very cute.

We went to China with friends of ours when we got Emma. They were Scott and Nicole Rainsberry. They adopted Gracie (left). She had a serious heart condition. Since then she has had surgery and is doing great. Scott and Nicole brought there family by for a visit a couple of weeks ago. Gracie and Emma have changed so much from when we first got them. It is fun to see them change as time goes on.
